They keep the lights dim in the stadium I'm telling you -- see a game there and it's harder to pick up the ball.

I have been there. I agree. The place is just a bad place to play baseball. The problem is though the Rays are scoring runs by the bushel, so they have figured it out.

They get to play 81 games there. They’re used to it

Maybe we should emulate them.

It's unrealistic to think the Yankees or really any team could compete with their resources.

If I played in a place that hideous I'd probably keep it dark too.

I’ll give them credit for a few things. The staff is incredibly, over the top nice. The ray tank is cool. And they have these boozy milk shakes with whipped cream caramel and caramel popcorn mixed in. Comes with bourbon or rum and they are delicious. And “only” $15 or so which ain’t bad.
Compare that to Oakland Coliseum which has no redeeming qualities at all other than the gorgeous weather.

Well in Oakland you can see people having sex in the stands if that’s your thing.

Why no it’s not and how dare you suggest such a thing.
Wasn’t some guy getting a hummer at a Blue Jays game a few years back? Lol

With their 13th straight win, the Rays have tied the MLB record for best start to a regular season. Both the 1982 Atlanta Braves and the 1987 Milwaukee Brewers began their campaigns with 13 consecutive wins.
It should be noted, however, that the Braves didn't clinch the NL West title until the season's final game, finishing just a game ahead of the Dodgers at 89-73. They were then swept by the Cardinals in the NLCS. The Brewers didn't even qualify for the playoffs.

ace LH SP Shane McClanahan is likely done for the season. Looking at another TJS, including perhaps a flexor surgery.
Ouch.
