I think it's pretty obvious that Elias and company feel drafting pitching is too much of a crapshoot. They may be right. Instead they're acquiring position talent, which they'll trade for pitchers once they have more data to evaluate

Interesting that teams are cleaning up the mlb.com board pretty well.
Brock Porter is the obvious outlier (#11) as he was projected to be the first pitcher off the board in, maybe, the top 10.
We're at pick 68 and only 9 player inside top 70 are still on the board. Porter and 5 HSers, the others are in the 50-60s.

Fabian's stock has rightfully dropped but we have to remember that this guy was projected to go Top 5 before the '21 season started
