JH looks like he is about 15. He is soon to be a very rich kid though.
He’s already rich.

Yeah but now he's not entitled, has his own huge pile of cash!
He’s already rich.

Holliday must be a good pick, because no one here is losing their mind. If he turns out to be a middle infielder who hits like his Dad did, I will be happy/ See you in 2025 or so.
Rocker has to be the biggest surprise of the night so far. Good for him though.

Yea, good point, but now he doesn't need his allowance.

How many rounds do they do tonight? 2 or 3?
The 2022 MLB Draft is here. Day 1 is underway right now with the first 80 selections, covering Rounds 1 and 2, plus eight compensation picks and Competitive Balance Rounds A and B.

I haven't had the sound on for MLB Network since the O's pick, but it's gotta be kind of tough for that Tennessee coach they have on the set, who was hoping three of his guys would go in the 1st and it ended up being only one (at #28).

Brock Porter hasnt popped yet. Interesting. Preilipp still there. Wouldnt be surprised if the pop Beavers or even Fabian here.

A lot of these guys are HS kids. Do you need to be trashing those?
No of course not. I don’t expect picks to get panned, because that’s a rather fruitless endeavor. I expect analysis on organizations’ strengths and weaknesses in terms of development and past drafts.

I think baseball tries to keep the draft overwhelmingly positive. It's very much a feel-good fest.
Not for nothing but…Jackson Holliday and Elijah Green apparently were born on the same day (December 4th, 2003).

It will be fascinating if Brock Porter keeps falling down the board. It was pointed out that he could have a number promised and he's not coming off it, so if teams can't meet it they move on.
It would be an incredible strategy if he makes it down to 109 when the Rangers pick again.
The Rocker pick could set them up to get Rocker and Porter. Cool.
