He's also above Torkelson by over 100 points now.  I did absolutely zero scouting or reading on Torkelson, but I'm real surprised he's struggled so much to begin his career.  And doesn't appear to be improving yet, as he's had a 530 OPS since the day Rutschman debuted.

 

Witt, on the other hand, is turning it on.  738 OPS for the season.  824 since Adley debuted.

 

Wander Franco is only at 727 OPS this season after being over 800 last year.

 

It'll be interesting to track these guys.

Also already has has much fWAR as Santander. 0.6. Unfortunately, this is why Santander doesnt have the value some think he has on a potential trade.

He's passing the eye test, for sure. After a few Wieters games, even though he was still a productive player, he didn't have that superstar look. Adley looks the part.

CJ Abrams is another who is really struggling. Very small sample sizes all around though.

Adley just missed a homer to dead center tonight, too. He’s a total stud.

Adley has adjusted pretty quickly, all things considered.  Young players struggle, we have seen it with Adley, Julio Rodriquez, Bobby Witt etc.  Torkelson will get it going.
