Here's the Hall of Fame tracker, with 1/3 of voters responding. Not looking good for Mussina. https://onedrive.liv...AC7uZHAmcVGWgwE Interesting to see that Roch has a HOF vote, considering that he basically works for the Orioles. Also interesting to see that Vito Stellino was one of the guys who was purged this year. I remember him working at the Sun years ago, but I'm not sure I remember him covering baseball.
Yeah, don't ever remember Vito covering MLB. Even after he went to Jacksonville. Interesting.

It will probably just be Griffey and Piazza. Bagwell and Raines could make it, but won't if last years split between public and non-public votes stays close to true.

They dumped that huge group of voters, don't forget. My guess is many of them were among the non-public ballots.

Also interesting that Mussina, Bagwell and Martinez have all seen 20+ returning voters (among the public ballots) change their minds and vote for them.

Yeah, I would assume that the split would decrease, but I'm skeptical that it will enough to get Bagwell and Raines in. Hopefully I'm wrong.

They're going to get close, at least. Probably at the level that usually gets you over the top the following year.

Mussina gets 43%, 18 points higher than last year, the biggest jump on the ballot.

I'm sorry if the question has already been asked but if he gets in, does he go in as an Oriole or Yankee?

I've been saying this for years.

I love Mussina but I don’t think he should be in.
Why not?
