This was highlighted in Tucker's write up for Minor League Players of the week, but Bridwell had an excellent start on Sunday. His line: 8 IP 3 H 1 R 0 BB 10 K. Lowered his era to 5.57 for the season. Hopefully he can build on this.

Another good outing for Bridwell on Saturday. 6.2 IP 7 H 0 R 1 BB 7 K.
His ERA is now down to 5.04 for the season. Very nice to see him string 2 nice starts together.

Season (Delmarva): 7-9, 5.27 era, 112.2 ip, 114 hits, 8 hr's, 52 bb's, 111 k's
He turned 22 on August 2nd. People believe in the talent of his arm. How about moving him to the pen, and seeing if he can move up a few rungs next year? (See that Tucker suggested as much in his Mid-Season Top 30.)

When do you convert him to a reliever?

I'm there. Know some people would say that is premature. IMO, everyone seems to love his arm. He's capable of every now and then having a strong start. He's struggled to be consistent. I'd love to see him working an inning or two at a time, and see how successful he could be.

I think I convert him also. Maybe I give him this year also and then convert him.
I love his arm also and I know that if he can ever figure it out he has the potential to be a TOR. Certainly there are plenty of late bloomers. But I don't like his chances.

ERA is now 7.56 for the season. I've read so many good things about him from a lot of people that know their stuff, yet he continues to be somewhere between below average and awful in most of his starts.

Harvey and Rennie are doing well in Delmarva. Wouldn't be surprised if both got promotions by the all-star break. Someone is going to have to move to the bullpen to accomodate them.

Don't look now, but Bridwell has turned in 4 straight solid outings and has his ERA down to 4.70 for the season.
