Don't look now, but Bridwell has turned in 4 straight solid outings and has his ERA down to 4.70 for the season.

Certainly better than the alternative. Plenty of people continue like his arm. Doesn't turn 23 until August.

Would be great if he can find some consistency the rest of the way. That might change my opinion that his future is in the pen.

Season: 2-6, 4.70 era, 61.1 ip, 58 hits, 3 hr's, 27 bb's, 60 k's

The hits per IP, and the K's give some indication of the stuff. Too many walks though.

Tucker said his CH has been making huge leaps...but let's not forget that he's 23 in high A ball. It's not like he's 19 anymore either. Might run into a rule 5 crunch.

This guy... Sheesh. Crazy how hard it is to put it all together in this sport.

Clearly has a talented arm.

If I were him, I'd be all about a move to the bullpen.  Might actually get to move through the system, and be an option for the ML bullpen quickly.

That's a very Hayden Penn kind of name....

I mean, there is basically zero chance he helps as a starter at this level.  He is 24 and in AA.  Move him to the pen and see if he can help in that role.

Agree, but this is largely the problem with the Orioles system wide pitching....how many guys actually project as starters right now.  It's not that they can't see ML success, it's just likely out of the pen.

Glad to see this change has been made. He should have a chance to help the ML roster soon.

Would not be surprised to see Parker in September.

Any of these young guys, would be an improvement over the empty spot known as Ubaldo.

Starting for the Angels tonight after he was DFAd by the O's in April. "Who do you replace Ubaldo with?"

This guy if you didn't drop him for nothing.

Could this be another case of how poorly we develop starting pitching?
