Jason Lane made his starting debut today. He lost, but pitched pretty darn well

The key remains winning games during the season... but as an O's fan, it's hard to imagine a Winter as active as the Padres have been these last few weeks under A.J. Preller.

The Padres broadcast was the MLBN game tonight, and they had Jeff Garlin in the booth to promote The Goldbergs and other things. But he spent the whole inning (might have been two, actually) basically reenacting the Chris Farley Show with Dick Enberg. Hearing a celebrity be so excited to actually be in the booth, and with a broadcast legend, was unusual, and pretty cool.

This is a destruction of A.J. Preller and the Padres prior off-season! http://grantland.com...al-league-west/
Wasn't Preller pretty well thought of?
Also, this is an example of how going after proven talent can blow up in your face.
