Cash is a beast.
Guessing the Cubs regretting the Cashner for Rizzo deal now, though Rizzo is a nice piece.

Guessing the Cubs regretting the Cashner for Rizzo deal now, though Rizzo is a nice piece.
Pitching is king though. But at least Rizzo is also good.

ESPN: Jedd Gyorko signs 6-year extension
The San Diego Padres have signed power-hitting second baseman Jedd Gyorko to a six-year contract extension worth $35 million, a source told ESPN.com's Jayson Stark.
The deal also includes a $13 million club option that could increase if it vests, the source told ESPN.

Fox Sports: Padres need to get house in order before trade deadline
If the owners want Byrnes to continue as GM, they should make their position clear. If not, they should dismiss Byrnes and install a replacement as quickly as possible.
The latter scenario is more likely; Byrnes’ relationship with ownership has deteriorated, according to major-league sources.

Theo was my age when he was hired by the Red Sox, I don't have that Ivy League degree, being Larry Lucchino's protege, or that much baseball operations experience.
