The season ends in fewer than 15 days?

Yes, yes it does. Whose ready for the early June playoffs!!!

Am I the only one on this board that got that email on April 1st, explaining that MLB decided to convert to a 2 month season, with all the teams participating in a round-robin tournament.

Good news! I saw a dog today.

So much for the WTF are they doing with a 6-man rotation questions. Cade Povich, you're the next man up.

He's scheduled to pitch in Woosta tomorrow, so really, just get him on a flight to Chicago tonight so he gets a good night's rest. Or maybe he's already on a flight.

I mean when you start with that top 3 I can't summon up that much concern about the back end.

Feels like Povich time, to me.

Also, this is why you need more than 5 starters!  Povich, if he gets the nod, will be the 9th guy in the rotation this season.  Suarez a bit of a stopgap but top-7 were used from Day 1.  Depth was good.  Didn't expect to need all of it, and especially not this soon, but good thing to have.  Still have McDermott we could call on, too.

True, the top is on point, but Rodriguez and especially Bradish have their own health concerns.

As the night went on and I didn’t hear anything I had a feeling it was gonna be Suarez. Hopefully next time through the rotation.

That would've just been one of your run-of-the-mill dustups if not for Charlton. That guy was always a psychopath and should have spent the night in central booking after that. But like Proctor and J-Lo kept saying, the cops were just spectators.

It was crazy.

Was also the first year of ESPN Radio which was all day pretty much. Remember listening to Tony Bruno for hours after, with the brawl the lead story.

Of course this almost ended Ripken's streak.

Rewatching a couple of thoughts.

1. Mussina went too high at Hassleman. Bosio threw behind two Os players but I will at least give him that he threw behind them low. Both were at the hip and below. Moose hit Hassleman in the shoulder area. Hassleman may not have charged if it wasnt that high.

2. For the longest time they showed angles where you couldnt see Cal running into the mix. He always talked about this being the closest the streak came to ending so I was trying to spot him in particular. Finally, after the game was over they showed an angle where you see him get there and get caught up in the wave.

Mussina was a quiet BULLDOG. Absolutely loved that guy.

God I was so pissed when he went to New York. That was the beginning of the long end for Angelos.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

Oh and Lowenstein talked about Mills popping Buhner twice. You saw Mills grabbing Buhner but never saw him throw a punch. What an enforcer. Mills cleaning the clock of Strawberry was essentially Odor/ Bautista pre social media.

One other factor was Sutcliffe.  He had established a culture in '92 that carried over into '93...  that they might not be the best (Toronto), but they weren't going to be pushed around.
