Urias, Hays, Kjerstad are all guys I would consider trading to upgrade the bullpen NOW. Absolutely atrocious lately, and guys like Akin should have never truly been on this team from the get-go. Just my $0.02.

Akin has looked dominant and he has looked awful.
I guess that's just baseball.

I don’t feel like I got my two cents worth from this post. You over promised and under delivered.

He has an option.Akin has looked dominant and he has looked awful.

Being awful several times will likely cause you to be replaced.
I think it's coming.

It is. But just my opinion, is that the bad version of him is closer to his true talent level than the good version. I think he's a useful guy in the organization when he has options, but I'd be less enthused about him if we have to keep him on the active roster. Basically a left-handed Baumann.

#45 is distracted from the goings ons in the ice box of a courtroom in NYC. Get him out of here.
Bullpen needs a lot of work.
I heard he’s contesting the results of his most recent outings.

I get the 45 reference. I just don't get how it's related to the Orioles.

Fingers crossed Means won't have such issues on his plate. Guy's endured enough already.

That Roch article on both he and Wells just sounds ominous. We will see what happens. Means became one of my favorite Os over the last 20 years or so. Just knows how to pitch and does it in a way unlike so many in todays game.

Os schedule through the AS break is pretty tough. Can see where we stand over the next month or so. Figure out where we are and what we need in trades. You obviously aim higher but .500 over the next 6 weeks or so would be ok.
We said the same thing about last year during a tough stretch. They have to play tough teams but tough teams have to play them. I'd expect over .500.

Yeah, like Roch said, you probably aren't seeking a second opinion when the first opinion is good news. He's probably going to consult with James Andrews.

Has Andrews not retired? I feel like he was in his mid 70s 10 years ago and you can't be a surgeon forever.Yeah, like Roch said, you probably aren't seeking a second opinion when the first opinion is good news. He's probably going to consult with James Andrews.
Edit: he's 80, and retired this year.

He did, though I read he will still be involved with his clinic and would consult with recent patients, of which I would think Means counts. But yeah, if Means has another TJS it would surely be performed by someone else.

I believe Dr. Neal ElAttrache is the current big name in high profile athlete procedures

A NOTE ON JORDAN MONTGOMERY;
Jordan Montgomery 2024 Pitching Game Logs | Baseball-Reference.com
3-2, 4.69 ERA w/Diamondbacks
On a 1-yr.deal for $25 million w/option for 2025.
Still a so-so performer; luckily, Ariz. didn't sign him long-term, AND THE ORIOLES DIDN'T SIGN HIM AT ALL.

I'd still take Montgomery, though.
