I was at today’s game too, my first since I moved down here! Fantastic showing from the young guys, particularly Cowser, Kierstad and Holliday.

This clock BS is going to ruin this great sport. Decisions made on balls and strikes that do heavily influence outcomes in ABs because of Manfred being Manfred

I absolutely love it. Players will get used to it. Games will be much better paced. Same amount of outs to finish the game.

Nah. Its not baseball.I know others who like it. No one likes 4 hour games but you didnt have to go to this extreme. The batter pitcher matchup is baseball. Its the heart of everything. Dont F with that

So for those who haven't been able to watch a game yet (thanks again, John) how impactful was it on the pace? Did anyone get called for a violation today?
Also, can you recall seeing any hits today where you were like, "if the shift was still around, that would've been an out."

Agreed. I hate this. I saw the clip of the fast paced at bat and couldn’t stand it. This isn’t hockey. Baseball fans are unsettled by it and non baseball fans don’t care. Manfred is a moron

It literally looked like Ken Griffey baseball video game. Pitch. No pause. Pitch. No pause. Pitch. Like recording a game in years past and watching it on 2x speed. Really bad.

Yup. And its not old man get off my lawn stuff for me. I hate it. It feels so bad. The shift ban is def more get of my lawn stuff. I dont prefer it but its not gonna hurt the game. This seems like it will to me. We will see if they adjust or strictly enforce in reg season
