Nice, next year should see a stream of prospects heading to Baltimore.
I am a little surprised they moved Mayo so soon, but he is on an upswing and his average was up to .250, so they are likely promoting a confident player.

I talked to him at the game yesterday, his and Norby's metrics (barrel rate, hard hit rate, expected BA and OPS) are much higher than their current numbers. Plus Aberdeen suppresses offense and especially homeruns at a pretty decent rate.
I'm very interested to see how these guys perform in Bowie.

How specifically does Aberdeen suppress offense? Like is it terrible wind, tall fences, etc?

That’s above my pay grade, I just look at the numbers Baseball America puts out. Good question though.

I think it's the wind mostly. Can't think of the park dimensions off the top of my head, but the stadium is built right on top of 95 basically, and it's open to the open side where the highway passes, so I'm sure you get all kinds of crazy cross winds coming through because of the amount of open space 95 creates.
Would have to talk to players to know more.
Bob, that's a good segment when you get one of these kids that has played more than one level this year on the show. Ask them what the difference is hitting park to park, and what their favorite parks to hit in are.

Good idea!
