It definitely feels like in some ways pitchers are more ahead of hitters than usual after this compact Spring training, so I'm taking some of this success with a grain of salt. But I do think Zimmerman is pretty likely to be at least a consistent, usable MLB pitcher as a back-end starter or long relief guy for the next several years if he stays healthy.

In 2021 the OPS for the league, with pitchers batting in the NL, through 11 days was 713. This dearth of offense was such a problem for the league that they instituted the rules about checking pitchers for substances.
In 2020 after the abbreviated "spring" the OPS through 11 days was 709. It was July so warmer weather.
