I look forward to Nickle's reaction roughly 25 years from now when the vet's committee elects known steroid users that weren't even HOF caliber as well as Jose Bautista!

Out of 43 known ballots from returning voters so far, Larry Walker has already gained 10 votes (in comparison, Martinez is at +6 and Mussina +2). He might see a huge jump and really get on a good track.

Bob Costas wins the Frick Award. Sheldon Ocker, who covered the Indians with the Akron Beacon Journal, already was announced as the Spink Award winner.

Hall of Fame, votes per ballot compared to the quality of talent on those ballots.

SI / Jaffe's Ballot:
https://www.si.com/m...ual-ballot-2018
So that's my 10: Bonds, Clemens, Andruw, Chipper, Thome, Rolen, Martinez, Mussina, Schilling and Walker. Apparently, not a single one of the 127 ballots published at the Tracker has that combo. The most common ballot, accounting for 15 of those cast so far, has Guerrero and Hoffman where I have Andruw and Rolen. Only two ballots have both Andruw and Rolen; both include Hoffman, with Vizquel on one and McGriff on the other.

Chris...any interest in doing a HOF poll, similar to the CBB and CFB one? By that I mean, make a graphic of the top vote getters like those graphics.
Everyone who wants to participate posts their ballot up to 10 guys like the real ballot.

Like the idea, but not real excited about paying for it.
If things change in the next week, I'll revisit. Otherwise, a good idea for next year.

Paying for what?

My ballot:
Bonds
Clemens
Chipper
Schilling
Mussina
Ramirez
Thome
Martinez
Rolen
Wagner
I read through the previous years threads mainly to check my own "voting history" but the discussion was also interesting, albeit often infuriatiating for me.
Also of note, there was much more discussion on this topic in the past.

Wagner but no Hoffman?

Wagner but no Hoffman?
Both are borderline for me, but I value the dominance (187 ERA+ to 141) over the longevity / durability (1089.1 IP to 903).

I think Bonds and Clemens both deserve to be in -- clearly. Both should have been added years ago.
I'll also add in Vlad, Manny, Edgar, Chipper, Thome, Wagner and Hoffman.
Schilling and Moose get my last two votes.
