Yep...hes old for Single A, so move him fast.

 

Need him to be healthy and get some innings under his belt but he should be moved up by June.

It is odd.  I searched for answers and couldn't find anything.

 

It doesn't seem like he is hurt and he was just named to the AS team.

 

He apparently was scheduled to start the other day but the game got rained out.  

 

Not sure if they are just taking it easy on him because of all the injuries or not?

I wonder if he did the pre game warm up during the rain out and they decided to just skip the turn.

Per several Qs abt Frederick RHP Cody Sedlock. He did have some elbow discomfort. But doing better & threw live BP yesterday. Should rejoin rotation after next week's single A All Star break.

No matter what they say, elbow discomfort is not good news, especially in regards to a kid who has battled injuries, like Sedlock.

There was an article in The Sun recently that mentioned trying to limit the innings.  Coming out of the pen is part of the process of getting his pitch count back up so that he can start again.

He's 24 and he hasn't been above Frederick.  He's not much of a prospect, IMO, despite the 1st round history.

 

Maybe he can end up as an ok relief pitcher.  That's what I would consider best case at this point.
