It's simple. We complain about a player and then, when he finally performs well, you hop in and mention it.
You're a snake in the grass.
I'm a snake in the grass for pointing out how you and your fellow downer claim Oriole players are worthless during the very same game when they perform well?

When we complain and there isn't a peep out of you when they actually suck? Yes. That's pretty much it.

If he can ride that OPS to 900 by the end of the year and sustain this run he's on through September do the O's think about a QO?
Given he's positionless it's a big risk, but he's going to get at least 2/20 now, right? If Alvarez could stretch that to 3/30+ he'd have to think about turning down the QO.

1/16.7 is better than 2/20
He wont get a QO, nor should he.

Agree on the 2/20. I guess my question is more, is there a level that Alvarez can hit at over the last 2 months of the season that might change Alvarez getting a QO or the Orioles considering it. What if he finishes the year with 1.000 OPS?

I mean, I guess its possible if he goes insane the rest of the year but it would still be in limited at bats and he would still be a positionless player who has no speed and can't hit lefties.

I think that is close to what it takes. He is white hot right now, so some of the short comings are overlooked.
He is a DH, that struggles against lefties so 2/20-2/22 is probably close.

Kim has to move to DH. Need upgrades in the OF defensively

You can't move Kim to DH, at least against RH pitchers. That removes Alvarez from the lineup. Really sucks when you have to play such poor fielders but whatcha gonna do?
Trumbo, Alvarez, Kim, and Reimold should realistically just be DHs and not played in the field. Just doesn't work. Davis is a better RFer than any of them but that's not happening either.
RF Davis + 1B Trumbo > 1B Davis and RF Trumbo but that marginally better
If the O's look to add a OFer this winter then Alvarez is probably out. Can't carry two LH guys that really only DH. I guess Kim could still be used in the OF on a occasion but if you have an everyday LFer then its going to be hard to get Kim and Alvarez both enough at bats to warrant both of them on the roster.

Yeah, next year. Really sucks we have to deal with now having 5 DHs on the team. Kim, Alvarez, Trumbo, Reimold, and now Pearce with the injury. Honestly, Reimold shouldn't be on the team, but somehow he's our best option as platoon RH OF and defensive replacement for Trumbo or Kim.
