El Toro says, I'll have another, I'm not driving! He got this thread back on track in a big way.

I was at the game last night and that first dong was a lazer! Had to be one of the fastest balls  to leave the park this year.  The second dinge was equally impressive.

Eh...I just needed to say my piece publicly, I certainly understand why you'd want me to PM that kind of stuff instead.

And it was certainly predictable that you'd call me dumb or stupid in response (seriously, get a new schtick). Feel free to have the last word though, you always do.

I guess El Toro will need to have another nice night to get this thread back on track again.

Looked like he hit two breaking balls last night which is a good sign.

I am guessing he sits out against Hamels tonight, while Trumbo DH's.

Yeah, I think we see Steve and Nolan on the corners.

They could rest Krush. But maybe he'll break out with another bunt and a walk.

This.

I'm resting Davis vs the tough lefty.

Alvarez may suck vs lefties but he is hitting well. It's really him vs Davis and for this game, I trust Alvarez more.

Rest Davis.

Pearce to LF.

Reimold to RF.

Trumbo to 1B.

Joseph to C.

Weiters to DH (but I would be fine with Alvarez).

Yeah, I'd be fine going with the hot bat (Pedro) over Wieters and his .560 OPS vs LHP this season.

Pedro has 5 K and a 1B in 7 career PA vs Hamels.

We need a thread like this about Crush...

The first one, he didn't even really hit it squarely... but it left in a hurry anyway...

If he keeps hitting like this he's going to get a nice raise next year.

By the time this is over, I expect a lot of people who don't like him right now will end up liking him just fine...

See?

From Melewski:

Alvarez has 14 homers in 130 ABs since June 1. Also has 6 hits his last 8 ABs and 4 are homers.
