Yes. Especially AL guys who could conceivably be moved to DH.
Not that Trumbo is going to make the HOF, but his career resume is better to you because he played a lot of RF last year?

I think for a position player defense is essentially half of your job. Anyone who is atrocious at it should be marked down when it comes to HOF evaluation.

Btw, Edgar did play 564 games at third.

300/400/500 club. Very few players have done that. I call it a no brainer too.

Yea I have manny on mine instead of lee smith
I had Smith on last year, so I left him there for his last chance. Manny will get in though. Fact is Bonds and Clemens and Bagwell should already be in and not creating this log jam so I could also put Manny, Walker and Vlad on the ballot.

Posnanski: Ballot 7: Larry Walker
I’ve come around to a slightly different view: It’s time to fight for Larry Walker. I am thrilled Tim Raines will be elected to the Hall this year; that has been a fight of mine for a long time (though not as big a fight as for others like Jonah Keri).
I think Larry Walker might have been a better player than Raines.

What's the theory for voting for Edgar Martinez over Manny Ramirez? Isn't Manny basically Edgar plus power and postseason success? Does it just come down to PED's?
