We have all that in Baltimore though.

You're joking slightly, but I still haven't seen a strip club anywhere that rivals El Dorado.

Norma Jeans. Sike. Have fun.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

I see Jamaica now has over the water bungalows...the first in the Caribbean. They are in Sandals at Montego Bay.

My wife, just to see price, acted like she was booking them.

For one week, including airfare, it was 16k!!!

You can go to Tahiti for 9-10 days for way less.

Wtf?

The Sandals here has day passes for about 110. However, if you walk in like you own the place, they give you no hassle. It's pretty sweet.

Yeah thats crazy.

It's obviously meant for people with FU money.

They are building more OWB in the Caribbean...Belize, Mexico, Panama, and I think Antigua has some too, but they'll all be outrageously expensive.

I just don't get the concept, and why it's so crazily expensive. Like...why.

I'm fine with just...going, you know? An all-inclusive place to rest your rump. All this other stuff, man...yeesh.

The OWB are incredible and the ones in Jamaica do look nicer than the ones in Tahiti (ammenties wise) but if you are going to charge those prices, people will stop booking them once the novelty wears off.

It's a once in a lifetime kinda thing...at least for us common folk. My wife wanted to go to Tahiti for her 30th...didn't have to twist my arm too much to do it.

So it's a good place for a honeymoon, or special occasion. Otherwise, what Epic said. Plant your ass somewhere in the Caribbean and get force fed food and drink for a fraction of the cost.

Going to Vegas the week after the Super Bowl.

I'm taking one day to drive somewhere through the desert, get a nice bite to eat an hour or two away, and drive back. Maybe a hole-in-the-wall-type spot.

Any suggestions are great.

Check out Anthony Bourdain in LV. I seem to remember him driving to the outskirts for some food/drink.

Chris, can you update title of thread for 2017?

Booked spring training in Sarasota in early March.  Will head to NYC in late March for annual fantasy baseball draft.

Visiting my sister and brother in law in Charleston, SC in early May.  We will be driving to Atlanta to check out the Braves' new pad.

Does anyone have a site they recommend for lodging?

Airbnb?  VRBO?  Homeaway?

Or are they all pretty much the same?

Vrbo and Homeaway are pretty much the same. I think they're even the same company or something. Airb&b is good but sometimes it's literally renting a room in someone's house who is living there, which can be weird. I love HA though...use it all the time and never had an issue.

Damn, that's an awesome lineup. Loved everywhere you've been but haven't been to buffalo or Ottawa. Montreal is my second fave N. American city behind NOLA.
