Think its was Keith Law who said that that Stroman could go right into an MLB bullpen tomorrow and be productive. It's even dirtier in person. I've seen a LOT of baseball, and that kid might have some of the nastiest stuff I've ever seen. If he's a closer out of the gate, I think he's going to be the best when it's over. I'm still REALLY intrigued to see if he holds up as a SP though, gut feeling, but that stuff is nasty.

It's going to be really awkward when the super-secretive Astros refuse to tell Bud Selig who they're taking

BTW I've decided I want Correa. Period.
He's already being touted as the next A-Rod.
Machado had those comps as well though.
And they are both misleading and annoying.

Reminds me of Kimbrel in that way. Why is Kimbrel not a starter?
Cause his stuff would tick down a little bit as a SP I guess. Haven't followed him closely enough, but somtimes guys are just made for that RP role, and sometimes they are failed SP that excel as RP.

Ps - Klaw said today that the A-Rod comps are a joke because he doesn't think Correa has a shot to stay at SS. Regardless, as a 3B Klaw says he'll crush.
Agreed.
However, I think what makes Correa so intriguing is because he's only 17 years old and could potentially be in the bigs by 19 - 20 at the latest. Raw talent alone, he's probably 1A to Buxton.

Indeed. I quoted him earlier in this thread I think. Klaw also noted that nobody has the stones to do that.

Wonder how his interview with Houston went?

Klaw? I'm under the impression from what he's said & industry chatter that he was offered a scouting director / special assistant to the GM type job and turned it down.

Correa looks a lot like Machado on the MLB Network video. Doesn't matter to me. One of them will stick at ss.
Kinda my thinking. Machado looked fine at 3B yesterday, but both of them as the left side of my INF for 6 years? YES PLEASE.

Yeah, I think that is right. Just an interesting quote from a guy with 1st hand knowledge of that organization.

Jesus H, this damn review before you can submit a message thing is going to be a pain tonight in this thread. Oh well.
Bud is not made out for this type of stuff. Dear God it's painful to listen to him.

If Gausman isn't available at #4 Correa is my pick, no doubt.

If possible, I think he might be getting less charismatic.
