Pirates may be calling up Steven Brault. Must be nice to have a competent pitcher that you can slot in at a moment's notice.
Official. Starting tonight since Taillon went on the DL.

Cole just looks awesome everytime I see highlights. At some point he is just going to put it all together.

That's ridiculous. You don't ostracize an underpaid superstar who has been an incredible ambassador off the field. Shame on the Pirates.McCutcheon to be benched for 3 consecutive games. Apparently for performance reasons.

I think now that they are out of the playoff race, selling pieces off, I think they want to try and hit the reset button on him. It doesn't sound like it's ill willed, because of lack of effort, leadership, anything like that. Here's a quote from Hurdle...
"“He’s tried a lot of things. This man’s fought and shown up and done early work, late work, side work, video work. I just encouraged him, in some situations like this, what I’ve seen happen with good players, you just unplug them,” Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said, per the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
It might be good for Cutch. Clear his mind. He's certainly earned a few days off.

I should have read the quotes first, my bad. I have several Pirates fans friends who are livid about this. Shocker that they didn't understand it. I have no problem letting a guy unplug and reset. Bitchiness retracted.

Depending on what "LOW" is, but yeah, I'd be looking at him too.

Good for the Pirates.
These guys get coddled way too much. You need to do what's best for the team and put your ego aside. If you are a good teammate and want to win, that's exactly what you will do.
