Nobody wants to say it, but I think this is one of the easiest quick fixes that would have a positive influence on the MLB.

I'm starting to wonder if, were MLB to be postponed well into the summer, and with all the talk of running some kind of tournament instead of a truncated season, it might be worth considering pushing up the WBC and running an extended version in lieu of the MLB season/playoffs.

This sucks.
I know lots of people consider this a meaningless gimmick but for me it's always been a nice way to prime the pump for the regular season.
I wonder why they canceled it so far in advance? Why not wait and see if there is a vaccine and if this has all settled down by next March?

Probably because it involved a lot of international planning and travel. It sucks. I always enjoyed the WBC, even from the beginning.
