Only guy really playing well is McDowell but he hasn't played the first 6 holes yet.

Yeah, it can be deceptive as to how players are doing. Guys who start on the back are typically going to look better than guys starting on the front. Those 6 holes are just so brutal, 1 or 2 over is almost a given.

Wow is that 6th hole nasty. Hunter Mahan double bogeyed it earlier.

The cut is at +8 and could move to +9.

Rory and Donald will miss cut.

Things are shaking out so ideally for Tiger if he can just shoot 70-72 today. This could be his best shot this year to get another major.

Even money that he ends up in red figures by the end of his round tomorrow.

Thompson is +3 on the day...played around 5 holes.

Adam, I just saw on ESPN that +5 is the projected cut. But everyone is saying much higher, including the ESPN leader board online. So I'm not sure now.

Espn is now saying +5 on their coverage...that does make sense.

Edit: berman saying cut likely to end up at plus 8 or 9.

3 straight bogeys for Tiger. +1 right now. Got real unlucky on 6th hole though.

When do they finally decide the cut? After the entire second round is done?

Yeah. It's the top 60 plus ties. It can be misleading because sometimes they'll say what the cut would be if things ended right now and sometimes they'll say what they expect it to finish at.

Tiger finishes tied or lead at -1.

David Toms still on course with chance to be leader going into tomorrow.

I've seen that but it's always bounced out.

Great first two days of golf. What a course! Really gotta grind to get a round at par or better.

I think Tiger takes this one, but Furyk and McDowell should give him a tough fight. I think Toms falls back a bit.

Really fun watching Beau Hossler play so well yesterday. Amazing. Loved when one of the announces said something like, "So you'd think when he gets back for his senior year in the fall he'll probably be pretty popular with the young ladies" and then threw it back to Van Pelt in the tower and he goes, "uh...so yeah thanks for that."
