We're getting more than expected and snow plows are slow to react.
Looks like it's close to stopping here in frederick.

Many of them have to stop their day jobs to go plow. Outside of government/high way patrolmen... the rest of the plows are almost exclusively small business owners who plow on the side. Makes it tough on a first thing in the morning snow fall like today.

So everything was slow/stopped this morning...except the eastbound entrance to the Bay Bridge.
Mother Nature's little jokes never stop being funny.

Boy, and here I am happy that I can finally go back outside without having to wear a coat (or 2). Thank you 78 degree weather.

So, are you all getting totally hammered with snow, or is it mostly to the north? And is this also the best place to mention that after the fog burns off this morning it's supposed to be partly sunny and 62 degrees in Portland today?

You're a dick.
Yeah, it's mostly north from what I can tell. We got a dusting over night in Montgomery County. It's started to snow again, and we may get 3-5 inches between now and tomorrow morning (around 4 or 5 AM when it switches to rain).

Same for me. My bike ride in this morning was chilly. East Coast is for suckers.

Ah....that's not much snow. Well I also saw that there will be plenty of cold temps behind the storm, so at least you all have that going for you. Enjoy!

I love having a garage.

Seriously, the fog in the mornings is a total buzz kill. I have to wait until lunchtime up here to take my dog for a 3-mile walk and check out the skirts. I don't know how I manage.

But the non-winter months there were sooooooo not worth it. Although where I lived was probably the armpit of SoCal.

Not much snow at all.
I will say that Justin Berk and Foot's Forecast are complete fear/snow-mongers -- not sure if it's because they want the clicks or what but they constantly shoot their load before a storm like this whereas the TV guys and gals were much more realistic.

Most of the time it's the other way around. This one if you saw what the temps were last night, and when the precip was coming in, you knew there'd be no snow before this evening. Once the sun goes down now is when we should get some accumulation. We'll see a couple inches from this tonight, but nothing big. Berk is an idiot though, he NEVER gets one right.

What I hate about Foot's is, when it's a bust, they'll say something like "But wait! X could happen if Y and Z also happen!"
They're trying to generate hype and clicks because nobody cares about the weather when it's 50 and clear.

As a teacher, I care about the weather way more than I otherwise would. Gotta love the 2 hour delay today for no good reason!

OT: Berk was flat our crazy at the Mobbies in November lol... my wife Laura had a class he taught in college... she was not a fan lol.

Teachers on Facebook talking about snow closures tilt me.
