Oddly enough, we've won every game he started.  Nobody else, just him...

The first two  were in spite of him.  Last night was the good UJ.  Need more of him.

One of the most inconsistent pitchers in Oriole history.

Just when you think it is time to move on, he reels you back in.

He's not reeling anyone in. Except for Shack and Shields. There you go. Shack and Shields sharing a moment.

I'm not being reeled in. I'm just posting factual info that can't be disputed.

You have to win 1 game and your only choices are Ubaldo and Daniel Cabrera, what do you do?

Forfeit. Time is too valuable.

Maybe it's just favoring recent'ism... but Daniel Cabrera was much more frustrating. Also could be that we were so damn bad back then.

Hard to argue with any of that.

Yep, thanks for the 2nd half last year, adios. Not fair to the other 24 to keep him at this point.

If they don't get rid of him now, I'm going to be extremely pissed.  Put Asher in the rotation.

Once again the O's can't get it right. Jimenez is almost worse out of the bullpen than as a starter, Everybody knows he is usually awful out of the gate. Only if he can get past the first 3 innings or so can he have ANY value. As a reliever that is just worthless. You give yourself almost zero chance to win if he has to come in from the pen.

Should just use that roster spot for some piece that might actually have some upside. I know Jimenez can go on short runs where he is pretty decent. Problem is you the only way you know when that is is to keep trotting him out there and losing every five days until you get lucky. And supporters please don't spout some stats about how the O's win X% of the time when he starts. Not's not because of him its in spite of him.

So what am I missing here. What is the value of him being in the bullpen over somebody you might think could actually help you out from the pen?

The Orioles have NOTHING to turn to in the minors right now.

You keep Ubaldo around and see if, yet again, can iron things out in the pen.

If Asher continues to pitch well, one or 2 others step up in the minors and Ubaldo sucks, then you cut him.

Zero reason to cut him today.

He's going to be an Oriole until the last day of the season.

Too nice of a guy for that ERA,

He saved the BP yesterday.

Here's what I would do. Start Givens and let him pitch the first (and hopefully second) inning. Bring in O'Day for third inning. Then bring in Ubaldo.......only half joking.....

Seriously the guy can't pitch in the first inning. I was at the Tamp game in September when he got blown up in the first inning for three runs.....then pitched a complete game.
