So, he's going to only run one show, and just rerun it all day?

When they change the channel, they are going to get to hear Jason La Canfora, an actual NFL insider talk about the home team. Not reruns of opinion based radio.
Reruns also mean no breaking news, less callers, less listeners....he better hope peter principles makes the best sellers list.

Nestor's going off on some weird tangents on his Facebook page. He's saying he can only take the lies so long and he's not going to stand for it.
Weird.

Weird.
What lies? He's the only guy that works there now.

Based on his recent comments about lies, and the moves he's made, I'd wager that he's either in, or about to be in a heck of a legal battle of some sort.

He should hire the law offices of Peter G. Angelos.

Out of sheer curiosity I turned on 1570 this morning. It was a rerun of yesterdays afternoon drive. Previewing the Orioles game that already happened. Yeah. This is going to end well.
What were you doing 100 feet from WNST's antenna?

The Arbitron ratings are nothing, but they do have an audience. No issue with streaming content, if you can't get the signal. They also have social reach.
However, their audience and reach is not as significant as they (understandably) want their sponsors to believe.

I mean, there are people who like him. I don't get it, but he has his supporters.
I can't imagine people are just going to want to tune in and hear the same thing over and over. But then I thought Dancing With the Stars was a stupid idea for a television show. Shows what I know.

Despite his narcissism and boorishness, I'll always give Nestor the credit he deserves for what he built years ago. He stood by his conviction that an all-sports radio format could work in Baltimore back when no one else thought it could. And looking at things today it is clear he was right. But the electronic media industry has evolved over the years, and he failed to adapt. When it became obvious during the last decade that consolidation of stations under corporate ownership was going to dominate the market, he simply railed against "corporate behemoths" and "out of town ownership", stuck with his signal that didn't have the wattage to light a Christmas tree, and tried to use a website to make up the difference in audience engagement. As much as I prefer to support the underdogs and local guys in a world where the playing field is tilted against them, Nestor should have sold out if/when he had the chance.
He definitely earned credit for that, but he lost all of it along the way.

And thanks to his hubris, he'll soon be a footnote.

I've learned a lot about people over the past few weeks. Next time I think I know the truth about a situation that I'm looking at from the outside, I'm going to stop and realize that I really don't know anything.
Very, very embarrassing how much of the general public has reacted, including people in this thread. Using his wife to evoke sympathy? Come on. Have you ever met Nestor?
