There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Doesnt seem like it. You do have to get comfortable and let things slow down. Some are just naturals though. Not to pick on Devo because it applies to a lot of guys. Some will never be as good as Big Ben was his 3rd or 4th time out. He just has a gift. Im also curious if this was just a weekend thing. Thet brought in Roberts and Olson for weekends earlier in the year. Granted that was a 2 man booth. 3 man booths can be trickier.
Does Devo have any previous broadcasting experience?

Yeah, but when you were hearing Ben for the first time doing O's games, he had been calling college baseball for years on ESPN.
So he had built up a level of comfort in being in a booth. If Devo hasn't been calling games anywhere, it's a complete transition, which just makes your point about allowing him to get comfortable even more apt. That said, I also agree some are more natural than others.

Were they doing the broadcasts from the CF roof deck? That's got to be distracting, especially for your first time.

Can anyone explain this? I've seen this from Roch a few times now. Is it just me or does this seem like penny pinching from Angelos and MASN

This is my last story for The Baltimore Sun. I had a blast covering the Orioles for the past five seasons, but after spending the last three of those working toward a master’s degree, I’m excited to try something new. It’s been fun.
Maybe he and The Sun couldn't reach a memorandum of understanding.

Ironically, his last article was about the OPACY lease.
