It seems incredibly plausible that Bundy can help this team in September, or maybe even August. That seemed like a distant possibility months ago. Great to see.

6/15: 5 ip, 5 hits, 1 er, 0 bb's, 6 k's
8 groundouts...
Seeing him in position to give 5 innings right off the bat is encouraging.

Based on what I've read elsewhere, he was sitting 91-92, touching 93.

Why would anyone be interested in seeing him in the majors this year?
This is something I really don't get. You still have to do lots of stuff with him......he should have even more workload restrictions given the injury and recovery and the fact he had to take a year off pitching.
It's just this simple. Go get your work in. Get to 100%. We're managing your innings through probably July of 2015 and if you are where you need to be....we'll let you go from there.
Norris is a great bridge for that profile. He's not a guy you QO......if he can generate some trade value over the next year you trade him and promote Bundy into that rotation spot.
Same thing we should be doing with MGon.....leverage his trade value today and promote Gausman into that rotation spot.

Wow. Sell low on Bundy. Gotcha.
Bundy did and does have more potential than Gaus.
How soon the fickle fan base forgets.

I don't know how you got that comment from what I posted.

Tried mixing 5 or 6 changes but left it up in the zone a lot.
Was sitting 91-93 and not getting touched the first 3 innings. Fastball was 89-91 in the fourth and 5th when they put more balls in play and got their two hits. Not surprising, considering its his 2nd real start after a year off.
It's hard to believe he's going to help the Os this year. I just don't expect it. If he does, it's going to be as a two pitch guy for an inning or two out of the pen.

Now that I've read your whole post, my bad. I got defensive. I'm drunk if that helps explain it.

Basically questioning how much more growth he has since he was so advanced out of HS.

@masnSteve: Bundy: "I was happy with my changeup a lot today. It actually had some movement on it. Some sink and run on it."

Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how he does in Bowie or Norfolk. That's the real test that will determine his chances to help the team this year. That'll also tell a lot about his value to other teams in a potential deal as well.

@BaltimoreLuke Dylan Bundy is likely to go to Delmarva or Frederick after making one more start for short-season Single-A Aberdeen on Friday. #Orioles
