actually a good "out" call on Manny stealing there. He was out by a nut hair.

Another good swing, as Denorfia singles. Now runners on the corners, with Hundley - the 9th hitter up with 2 out.

Looks like Tilly has good stuff tonight...Not getting the calls on the corner, and not getting enough movement on his FB, but his breaking ball is NARSTY!

Well, glad he got out of it without any further damage, but he's up to 45 pitches already.

Does anyone here have any musical ability? I'm thinking about making a parody of The Monkees - I'm a Believer for Manny Machado
Then I saw third base
Now I'm a believer

I just got in, is he still dropping the 87mph fastball?

One other semi-related note about Cashner... I recently read on Baseball-Prospectus that there is a strong correlation with FB velocity > 93 MPH and the most effective change-ups. I noticed with Cashner, his FB is 95.0 MPH (Probably more like 94 now that he's starting and not in the pen exclusively), and he throws a change up that's 9.1 MPH slower than his fastball, 23.3% of the time. It'll be interesting to see if we see this correlation today.
General rule when scouting is you want about a 10mph difference between the fb and the ch. Problem is when the fb gets below 90 they are both ch. I think strasburg has/had a 15 mph difference which was part of why he was so filthy.
