Davis with a double, as he gets the bat head through the zone on the hanging slider.

General rule when scouting is you want about a 10mph difference between the fb and the ch. Problem is when the fb gets below 90 they are both ch. I think strasburg has/had a 15 mph difference which was part of why he was so filthy.
I believe speed differential is up next in his 3 part series on this topic, so it'll be interesting to see what he finds here... but I believe he has indicated already that the FB velocity is of more concern than the differential (though there still has to be a threshold of a decent differential). Your point about two different speed change ups is a good one.

Tillman not on his game.
A nice double play ball could help though. Nicely done.

Sutcliffe was one tough SOB. You look at his '92 line, and you see all the hits (and innings), but he really was a leader. He did a good job of being a real influence on Mussina and Ben.
He also played the game hard, and protected his team. He was not afraid to go inside, and he would drill guys when pitchers went at his lineup. Really enjoyed watching him. A shutout to open OPACY is so cool.
O's turn. 2... Carlos down 1-2..

An 18 pitch inning has Tillman up to 63 pitches... nice frame for Tilly. Bats need to get going.
