Does a perfect game against the Astros count?

Since they've scored 4.26 RPG, eighth in the NL and above the league average, yes, it counts :P

Did Kendry Morales serve as lesson for everyone? No reason to over-celebrate a regular season win.

During the celebration my dad asked me if Huff was still on the Giants, and I said that yeah, he's probably somewhere in that pile :P

This was a bit more than that...

It's still one win. All them count the same even a perfect game. I stand by my statement, you shouldn't go too crazy over a regular season win for that reason.

It is one win, but it's one of twenty-two in the history of the sport.

This is a major event for Cain. First-line-of-the-obituary kind of stuff. His teammates (who were a huge part of the event) should want to celebrate.

Yea, Cal Ripken shouldn't have taken that lap during 2131, he might have hurt himself.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

First of all, if I recall the Orioles were out of the race by that point. Second, he wasn't in the middle of a mob like Huff/Morales were.

Cool I guess if a player has a season ending injury celebrating a milestone event, it's ok by your logic.

Right, because that's exactly what I said.

If that's all you've got, than I guess I win :P

Well that was quick. You figured they'd get him after the Dodgers got Victorino.

Good counter by the Giants. Interested to see what they gave up.

I expect that the Giants gave up a lot for Pence. He'd have been a nice target but I think the Phils were asking for a lot given what they gave up for him a year ago and he's continued to perform well.

Pence is a good pickup. I like him better than Victorino.

The Diamondbacks are about to do something big and possibly stupid to keep pace with SF and LAD. Stay tuned...
