Giving that extension to Bumgarner isn't great news for Lincecum's future with the Giants. Doesn't mean they can't and/or won't re-sign him to a long-term deal, but they've just locked up two pitchers now and will probably have to pay up for Posey(assuming he stays healhty). I wondered with Lincecum how long he could go with his funky delivery. Orioles of course wondered the same thing, but think they would've taken two Cy Youngs even if it had meant an abbreviated career to a player who can't get out of AA. If I were a Giants fan, I wouldn't be be in panic mode quite yet.

Melky Cabrera deserves some props for this phenomenal throw from left field to gun out Norichika Aoki at the plate.

Eleven strikeouts through 6 1/3 innings. Oh, and no baserunners allowed.

Yeah. Turn on MLB Network.

God I remember wanting the Orioles to go hard after this guy. Rats.

Congrats to him.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

My thoughts are that and Lincecum is going to regret not signing a long-term deal, unless he really turns it around and even then, I don't see the Giants offering the kind of $$$ they once did.
