This is when the word re-tooled should be used. There is enough here for a core and a core that can compete in the playoffs at that. But you better damn well hone in on the handful of players you want to keep as your core and figure out who to bring in. Including the right manager.

Ive had belief in this operation from the jump. From the GM to most of the coaching(Hyde an exception), the players. I dont believe in them being championship caliber anymore. Its apparent to me. To take the next step they have to make multiple changes on multiple fronts

Have fun. I have no problem with any of the fun. It helps get you through the dog days. But you have to show up when the lights hit you. Exactly why I never got on the 2014 Hate the Royals train. That was a fun team to watch, they played super hard, and did whatever it took to score. I respect that.

Guys wanna live and die by the longball, then you have basically no other paths to victory. I hope the O's can take the next two and move on, but if they don't, then kudos to the Royals for getting the job done their way.

They had multiple chances today. Mullins leadoff double followed by a McCann strikeout. Had runners on 1st and 3rd, 1 out - McCant up again for a strikeout.
