Even winning two against NYY would be tough to catch them. If we assume 2/3 in that series, that means we need to make up 3 games in 6 while we play Det and Minn and they get Pittsburgh and Oakland. Possible, but less likely than sweeping them, IMO. But lets play well against Detroit first and then see where things stand heading into Tuesday.

The crazy thing is the Os record has dipped to .500 or maybe even 1 below against teams over.500. So to have tiebreakers on virtually all the WC contenders is kinda crazy. Again, tiebreaker over Sea, KC, Minn and we would only need 1 win over NY to have that tiebreaker too. Though at this point we will have to win 2 minimum against them next week to have a chance at the division
Oddly, we haven't played much vs the AL contenders in the second half, so we earned those tie breakers back when we were good. Just 2-2 vs each of Cleveland and Houston and 1-2 vs Detroit in the second half. 8-12 vs the NL and 10-10 vs Tor/TB/Bos hasn't helped.

Would be really nice to have the top WC seed locked before the final few days so we can position Eflin and Burnes for 1st two games. I guess it doesnt really matter because as long as we have a WC spot wrapped up they will be lining those two up to start in the playoffs. Thats more important than seeding

Twins won. Royals and Tigers both lost.
O’s are up 4 on KC, 5 on Minnesota and 6 on Detroit. There are 8 games remaining.
Meanwhile, the Yankees are tied against the Athletics currently, and the O’s are within 3.5 in the ALE. It’s a near lock they win the division, but it’s important to keep in mind that the Yankees are, at their core, soft, gutless doo doo butter.

What are the scenarios at play for possibly clinching a berth tomorrow?

So the Orioles lost. The Twins got rained out. Royals lost. Mariners and Rangers tied at 2 a piece in the 6th.
What are the scenarios at play for possibly clinching a berth tomorrow?
Should be the same as tomorrow win and Sea loss. If Minn loses both games to Bos that might do it too. Either way, the fans in the stands and players wont know by the time the game ends.

Royals also lost, don't think they're in the magic number calculations but they're fading harder than us at this point lol
