Twins have 75 losses, so if they win out they can get to 87 wins.

 

O's have 86 wins and O's have the tie-break over them (worst case is they tie season series with Minn and 2nd tiebreak is divisional record, if O's get swept by Yankees they'll finish 30-22, Twins are 29-23.

 

So one O's win or one Twins loss ensures the Twins can't catch the O's.

 

Haven't done the permutations on 3-way or 4-way ties with O's, Minn, KC, and Det.  That's probably why the magic number isn't 1 though, if it isn't.

Yeah Im not sure how 3 way or 4 way ties work. Thats my only hesitation saying for sure we are in with a Minn loss but we def have the heads up tiebreaker on them.
