DB Tarheeb Still has declared for the NFL Draft and will not return to Maryland next season. It's unclear whether or not he'll play in the team's bowl game.

To give you an idea of just how decimated Maryland's cornerback room is at the moment, I currently have projected starters listed as Lionell Whitaker, Kevis Thomas, and Lloyd Irvin. There will obviously be additions, but it's a position of desperate need.

Former Bowling Green DB Jalen Huskey will transfer to Maryland. Their first transfer portal addition comes at a position of need.

He was an All-MAC selection as a junior this year, and attended Quince Orchard High School (Gaithersburg, MD).

 

EDIT: Looks like Huskey is actually a rising junior, and will have two years of eligibility beginning in 2024.

Was stuck behind Brade and Trader on the depth chart. Unless one of those guys declare for the draft (which is still possible), there isn’t much playing time to go around at the safety position for a guy who couldn’t break through at all as such a highly-rated transfer last year.
