15 BB to 10 K in his first action at Delmava. Nothing too impressive other than that, but its a good start.

He has to get stronger but the BB/K rate is good. He also got going the 2nd week there. Slow start.

I think that will happen naturally.  He is still a kid.  He will add some weight, muscle naturally  and via the strength and conditioning program they are sure to have him on.  

I think it will be similar to Henderson.

Certainly may be some bias creeping in because its the Os selection but I now believe he was the best player in the draft. Ahead of Jones. Like the bat a good bit better. Feels safer but still has immense upside.

Forget his age. Pay attention to nothing but his development and when he is read to move up a level move him up. This kid should see the majors in 2025 at the very latest. I think 2024 is realisitic.

Like you said it's impressive that he's still in camp. He must not look out of place.

 

For what it's worth, Adley was sent to minor league camp on March 6th in his first spring training. But he was 22, not 19.

I thought Delmarva for sure like two months ago. Now I think Aberdeen for sure.

Could be but both are full season. I think they will continue to go step by step with him.

Cowser started at Aberdeen but I'd assume we're guessing they'll be more cautious with a HS pick, which is reasonable. But he's not a normal HS pick so yeah, just do Aberdeen

He played 12 games. 57 PAs at Delmarva. That is skipping for all intents and purposes. I fully expect him to hold his own or better at Aberdeen but you dont want to have him struggle a bit and then wonder if you were too aggressive. Also, Aberdeen isnt fun for hitters generally speaking. I think they start him in Delmarva and look to promote by end of May. At the leatest. If he has Gunnar type rise he ends in AA or even could get a sniff in Norfolk in Sept.

I just think he is the special case you make an exception for. Like the international kid who rockets up the minors at 19.

No complaints if he starts at Delmarva, just not the vibe I'm getting.

I trust the FA and development team. If its Aberdeen no complaints. Other than it may be cold in April trying to watch him play.

The question to me is what purpose would starting at Delmarva provide? I think that answer is nothing short of "that's just how its done."  In fact I think its a negative to start him at Delmarva when you know he's going to Aberdeen quickly. An extra step (coaches, teammates, move) that seems to serve no value for him.
