I highly doubt he doesn’t get another crack at starting again but he’ll need to earn it.

Happy to bring Wells up, we need any available arms, but I have way more faith in Baumann than I do Lopez or Fuji. Bad decision of who to send out, IMO.

He hasn't necessarily been "beyond horrible" with 4 scoreless appearances of 7 in AAA. The other ones were bad, so his numbers are bad, but sadly if he's a coin flip between good and a melt down he's probably one of our better relievers.

I know Fuji has Options, but isn't Lopez out of them.

Yeah, but he hasn't really showed he's worth saving for next year, that you'd have to/want to tender him.

They might as well put Wells in the bullpen when he comes back. I don't think his body is built to be a starting pitcher. It's a win if he can be a dominant bullpen arm.

Means should be back before Wells' 15 days are up, so that could work. Would be stuck with Irvin until Bradish returns in this case.

Wells in the bullpen is better than Wells on the IL.
