If he stays on the field, and shakes off the rust quick enough... good chance he ends the year in AA imo.

He better end the year at AA. If he can't get out of A+ as a 23 y/o then he'll be on his last chance as a prospect next season. He'll have a much longer ways to go before he's into any sort of release concern, but he'd be teetering close to irrelevancy.

I think we'd have to pull back on that. Him being 23 doesn't mean much, when he hasn't done anything for 2 years. It's not like's been competitive at ages 21 and 22 and is competing with those guys.
Yeah, ultimately his age is his age... but rust is rust.
I'm thinking (maybe hoping) that if he's right health wise, he'll be able to quickly pick up where he left off... and yeah, as an advanced college bat, he should quickly move from Low A and High A, end the year at AA.... and he's on the doorstep of joining the '23 O's some point.

Mike Elias says Heston Kjestad's left hamstring strain will keep him out for eight to 12 weeks. He'll miss opening day. but no surgery required."Obviusly a horrible blow," Elias said.
That sucks. The kid can not catch a break.

2-3 months for a hamstring strain?
Yeah, there are a few tricky injuries that take really long times to heal. Abdominal injuries, Hamstrings, Pecs, and Ankles for whatever reason take much longer than you would think.

A month into the hammy issue, wonder how he's faring? Really hoping he can get back and stay healthy the rest of the year so we know what we have.

I'll believe it when I see his name in a boxscore.
Yep. I think of the organization like he's not even there.

Only thing I’d expect is that he’ll be overjoyed to finally play baseball again.
