They've gone from about the 52nd overall class to 35th in the last two weeks.
While they are lacking elites, they've got something like 23 3 stars. This class could've been a disaster but its been salvaged.
I also like the JUCO line targets. Getting some 2 deep talent that can help some immediately.
In '21 & '22 we're going to need to see more locals and more 'difference' makers, but Im very pleased that Locksley has found a way to put together something respectable for '20.
Mostly agree here.
There's certainly nothing about this class (as it currently stands) that will excite the fan base, and no particular player(s) you can point to that will give the overall talent level a jolt (not that it can't happen, just no obvious choice among the group).
But the potential is there to add critical depth at certain positions, namely the OL, that they have lacked for a long time. I wish they could find those sort of guys for the DL too, but they tend to be harder to come by.
Based on this class and previous ones he was involved with at UM, Locksley seems like a guy who is a "closer." The players who often define his recruiting classes seem to come in at the end, going all the way back to Stefon Diggs and more recently Cross and LeGendre.
