Finau and Miller have both been ranked as 3-star recruits, and Maryland's class currently sits at #41 in the country and #10 in the Big Ten.

4-star dual-threat QB Jeff Sims decommitted from Florida State this morning after visiting College Park on Saturday, so that's something to keep an eye on.

Also, 4-star DE Fadil Diggs will be visiting campus on Friday. He's a Texas A&M commit from New Jersey that the staff is trying to flip.

Two years, possibly two flips of a FSU-committed 4-star QB for UM? It must really suck to be them these days.

(I like the Norvell hire though)

Potentially, but Norvell basically told Sims he should leave because he didn't fit in his offense.

Have any thoughts on how many scholarships we can expect from this class?

Unranked K Hunter Patrick commits to Maryland. Kohl's Kicking ranks him as the #89 kicker in the 2020 class, and as a 4.5 star recruit. He has impressive leg strength and could become the Terps' kickoff specialist as a true freshman.

Nice week for MD. Got some momentum, and have already salvaged the class.  Few flips this weekend would be huge.

4-star dual-threat QB Jeff Sims decommitted from Florida State this morning after visiting College Park on Saturday, so that's something to keep an eye on.

It'll be between Maryland and Georgia Tech for Sims. He'll announce on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets are considered to be the favorites here.

3-star ATH Osita Smith commits to Maryland. He was a 4-star S recruit out of high school who committed to West Virginia, but went to prep school due to grades. He'll now join Locksley's 2020 class.

Give Locksley and his staff credit, they've been killing it.

Yes they have got plenty of recruits these past few weeks but I wouldn't say they're "killing it". The highest recruit they have in MD is the 20th ranked one, that's not good imo. In-state recruiting has to improve next cycle if they want to have any success.

They've gone from about the 52nd overall class to 35th in the last two weeks.

While they are lacking elites, they've got something like 23 3 stars. This class could've been a disaster but its been salvaged.

I also like the JUCO line targets. Getting some 2 deep talent that can help some immediately.

In '21 & '22 we're going to need to see more locals and more 'difference' makers, but Im very pleased that Locksley has found a way to put together something respectable for '20.

I think you best said it in your last sentence. This class is respectable nothing more nothing less. It just needs to get a lot better in '21 if MD wants to be competitive in B10. They need to be in the top half of B10 schools in '21 and then top 5 in '22 imo if they ever want a shot at being a competitor in the B10 in the near future. I know this takes time to do so it will be interesting to see if Locks can do that. Also, I really like the addition of Osita Smith, dude was a beast for Wilde Lake a few years ago and I hope he finds success at UMD!
