I’ve been out of the loop traveling. Just saw that New Town beat the brakes off of Dulaney 78-54. Dulaney Coach has no idea what he’s doing.

SFA beat Goretti in Hagerstown yesterday 62-58 in a battle of the top two teams in the standings of the BCL, SFA moves to 9-1 in league play and Goretti drops to 8-2.

GA, what’s up with your Greyhounds. A 7-12 record with five straight losses to McDonogh, Mt. Carmel, Gerstell Academy, Annapolis Area Christian & MSJ. You blame the coaches. I blame the culture. Gilman will never be an A conference power in basketball. Lol!
This is strictly on the Coach and injuries. Out of the those 5 losses, Gilman should have won 4 of them, including the game against MSJ. Heard they blew that game in the 4th quarter. Feel badly for those kids, the coach is just terrible. Add on the fact that they’ve had horrible injuries all year, the season had no chance. Chase Drew is out for the year, probably only played 8 games total, Cooper is out for the year with a broken leg, and Winbourne and Foster just came back.

Day 1 of the Bob Kirk Invitational is in the books in Cumberland
TAKOMA ACADEMY 67 VS. LA LUMIERE 95
MERCERSBURG 44 VS. WASATCH ACADEMY 105
ROCK CREEK CHRISTIAN 54 VS. SUNRISE CHRISTIAN 62
VA ACADEMY 55 VS. BISHOP WALSH 82
Day 2 Tips at 6:15 with Wasatch vs. La Lumiere and then BW vs Sunrise at 8:00. LaLumiere and Wasatch both looked really good, Rock Creek battled hard against Sunrise but they had no answer for N'Faly Dante. BW pulled away in the 2nd half.

@loco09, is this the year that Walsh shocks the world and wins their own tournament? I only go to Cumberland for the AIT when CHC has a good team. This year might be an exception.Day 1 of the Bob Kirk Invitational is in the books in Cumberland

Wins? Unlikely. Competes...for sure. Most likely the field for the ACIT will be BW, MSJ, SFA, Goretti, PVI, DeMatha, Gonzaga, O'Connell. I could see Walsh competing with the Baltimore sides but beating DeMatha or PVI will be a real challenge.

MSJ loses back to back games to Loyola and Goretti, got swept by Goretti this year including the most recent 22 point loss. Picking the wrong time to start a slide.
Big game on Wednesday as Goretti travels to Cumberland to take on Bishop Walsh, the two western most powers clash for the first time as actual programs. BW and Goretti have played a lot over the years but this is the first time both are loaded with talent. Goretti is the favorites but would be a really nice win if BW can pull i off.

No Philly Catholic League teams like Roman Catholic, McDevitt, Bonner & Prendie or Neumann-Goretti? Have faith. Maybe Walsh will shock the world and play DeMatha in the championship. 🤷🏽♂️

Philly Catholic League teams joined the PIAA about 5-7 years ago and can no longer participate in the ACIT. The only bad thing about the Alhambra being at the end of the year is that the pool of teams is dwindling due to state playoffs, thats why you don't see the New York or Philadelphia teams anymore, plus events like the GEICO Nationals draw the top teams so a team like LaLumiere who has been at the ACIT before will opt to go for a national championship rather than the ACIT.
BW beat Goretti last night 48-40 for a nice win. Goretti's only other losses this year are to SFA (x2), Dematha, and Poly.

That sucks for the AIT. Great win vs Goretti, though. Seems like all those new pieces are melding at the right time!Philly Catholic League teams joined the PIAA about 5-7 years ago and can no longer participate in the ACIT. The play of the game was made by Curtis. With 3:56 left in the 1st half, CHC got the defensive rebound and Curtis streaked up the court, received a pass in stride at the foul line and dunked emphatically on Tyler Brelsford and Wesley Chairs. Curtis received a technical foul but he got the quiet crowd into the game. CHC has four regular season games remaining in this terrible season and at least one game in the BCL playoffs.

If Bishop is so good why did he play so poorly against Gonzaga?
Really that’s your question? That has to be one of the dumbest questions/statements I’ve heard.
