Calvert Hall vs Silver Oak game had to be halted with 4 minutes left before half because Silver Oak players started fighting themselves.. CHC was winning 30-0 when the melee started

Are you pulling my leg, they fought themselves and had the game stopped?
lol no BS.. Here is an account from someone who was there from another forum. I have a friend who is the grandfather of a CHC player who was there and he gave pretty much the same account.
"I’ve seen brawls at football games before.
But I’ve never seen a game ending brawl among teammates and coaches.
Silver Oak only dressed 20, only about half of whom seemed interested in playing (by far their most commonly run play was Delay Of Game).
Down 30 points in the 2nd, they started bickering among themselves, began disrespecting their coaches and traded insults with spectators.
Yelling became punches as teammates squared off and at least one player attacked a coach.
The ref immediately halted the game at 4:19 of the 2nd.
One player refused to calm down and is continuing to be physically restrained by coaches long after Calvert Hall has left the field.
A truly horrific scene.
30-0Calvert Hall final"

I believe that school deals with students who are working though some issues.

Sleeper: Woodlawn very fast football team. Defense is aggressive. If oline comes together they could be a serious threat to Milford and Franklin.

Dematha got a good ole boot to the azz but that’s football I’m sure they will regroup and get better from that lost
Florida teams never really stop playing football so its never a good thing to play them early in the season...not only do they play during the spring and summer, they actually have summer leagues (Jamborees).

Next, I went to the Dunbar-Allegany game at Poly on Friday night. The 1A matchup was very entertaining until the skies opened up forcing the cancellation of the game in the first half, with Dunbar up two TDs to one for Allegany. Dunbar was slightly bigger and faster than Allegany but the Campers’ wing-T offense had success running the football against the Poets.
At least I got to watch my WVU Mountaineers blow out the Tennessee Volunteers on the SEC on CBS. Hopefully the weather is better next weekend.

Gooch, Dunbar returned a lot of good players from that 1A championship team. Despite losing their All-Metro QB, I think the Poets will run the table in the City league and return to Navy-Marine Corps Stadium for the title game. MSJ’s QB has had a good start to the season and they also return a lot of players from last year.
The rankings are a joke no way Dunbar’s a top 5 team right now and I seen a ranking that had MSJ 3 that’s a joke as well but we will see

***My predicted winner
Thought of the Week
Gilman is terrible! The Greyhounds have been outscored 82-7 so far against the WCAC’s Gonzaga Eagles & St. Mary-Ryken Knights. I think the former Evil Empire will fall to 0-3 this weekend to the Georgetown Prep Little Hoyas. Say it ain’t so, GreyhoundAlum!

ShoNuff, I defer to you on all things Howard County football. I chose Glenelg simply because they are the home team. I do think it will be close. You agree? Side note. Did you highlight your picks on a cellphone or computer?Winners are in BOLD
