Clemson is just so much bigger and faster. If you thought Notre Dame had a chance ... well you probably live in South Bend. The Playoff Committee screwed up.

So best and most deserving. We all agree Georgia is better than Notre Dame now however Notre Dame was 12-0. Let this be a lesson to us all

Notre Dame had a good year. 12-0 is nothing to sneeze at. But they were never truly tested. It’s not their fault that some of the “tough” teams on their schedule (USC, FSU, Stanford, VT) all had down years. They deserved to be here.
But man, they’re just outclassed.
Nobody that wants to see the “best” teams would take this over, say, Georgia playing Clemson.

If they stay at 4 teams the committee needs to be able to tell an inferior 12-0 ND team that they’re not in and a two loss Georgia team is.

I wouldn’t be upset if they did but I think 4 is good.

I have been in favor of expanding the playoff..but I’m not sure I am anymore.
I wouldn’t be upset if they did but I think 4 is good.
Then they need to truly take the four best teams. If ND or some crappy Pac 12 team ends up 12-0 and a better SEC team loses twice the SEC team needs to go. But I don’t see that happening.
