But exciting for Hall! Would love to know their plan for him in terms of pitch counts and innings.

I think he’ll tandem with Tyler Wells with both going 3-4 innings per outing. Maybe 100-110 innings for Hall.

Both of the first two rehab starts looked to have a limit of 60 pitches.

Love it. Dont waste the bullets in AAA. Get him up here.

Balt Sun: Orioles prospect DL Hall wants you to know he’s ‘not just a 100-mph fastball guy’
The kid seems to have an edge to him. Most good pitchers have that. The I am better than you attitude. I look forward to seeing him, as much as the others in the top 3.

Got touched up today, and most concerning another 5 walks.
3.1 ip, 6 hits, 7 er, 1 hr, 5 bb's, 2 k's
AAA Season:
38.1 ip, 33 hits, 22 er, 5 hr's, 28 bb's, 59 k's
He's up to 46 innings on the year (A+, AA, AAA), after 31.2 last year, NA '20, and 80.2 ip in '19.

Hes not particularly close to GRod as a prospect. Ill say it again, I think he winds up a high leverage RPGot touched up today, and most concerning another 5 walks.

His stuff is awesome, 13.9 K/9 at AAA is great, but he's also at 6.5 BB/9. I am excited for him but at the same time happy for him to keep working at AAA to try and figure out the control a little. I think calls for him to be up were/are premature. I think he'll be good but also he needs work.

I still want him to be up, but it's not because I think he's fully baked and has nothing to work on.
He's obviously on a pitch / inning count. And I'd like his next 50 +/- innings this year to be at the ML level, pitching in relief in tandem with probably Wells.
My general thinking there is that whenever he ascends to the Majors he is going to go through adjustments.
I just think utilizing this time for ML innings now, would have better prepared to ask for more out of him next year.
Like you said... not a matter of stuff.
All of that said... back to back outings with 5 bb's... can't reward that with a promotion, so I'd probably have to see successive starts with that under control before I'd now bring him up.

Apparently he's been tipping his pitches. A lot of that lately. Maybe we'll see some improvement if he has that sorted out.
