He can't be that far away from getting a crack at CF.

Was thinking the same thing. August 1 area?
Makes sense to me.
Norfolk is probably the only affiliate that won't make it to the playoffs so I think we could see a few of the guys producing down there come up next month.

8 for his last 43 over his last 10 games... average has dropped from .280 to .248.
Zero concern imo, but if he had been hot over these last 10 games, I would have expected a promotion in the near-term.
Now maybe not until September.

I wouldn't consider him for a callup unless he's super hot over the remainder of the Norfolk season and even in that case I don't think I'd give him the nod.
I do not expect Elias to make any effort to get him up here, he'll finish the season at Norfolk and then go to extended, maybe go to AFL if he's still eligible. I think end of May 2020 is the earliest he'd get called up, get that extra year of service time.

Everyone is eligible for the AFL now, no roster restrictions. I definitely think he'll be one of our guys there along with Diaz.

Thank you, I either missed that or forgot about it. Hays and Diaz are absolutely guys that I'd send out to the desert. Harvey and Sedlock seem like good candidates as well. I think we're well stocked with older prospects who we want to continue to see play. I think I'd be pretty careful with younger guys like Hall and Rodriguez.

Even with his struggles, I think Hays gets a call.
The roster right now contains 1 true outfielder. Santander. Unless you count Mancini.

Maybe this is why some of the prospects have had inning restrictions on them when you wouldn't think they would.
Akin being another example.

Just like it was notable when Mountcastle did it, Hays walked three times tonight.

He really plays hard, which may be why he gets hurt.
