Roch reiterated today he's supposed to report to AFL next week.
Elias said the plan is to have him play another week or two to make up for some of the lost injury time.
Dean Kremer is in the AFL for the same reason

Tom2:13Does Austin Hays have a shot at being a decent everyday CF?Keith Law2:13I don't think he has any shot at CF.
That's so dumb.

Yeah, he looked good to me at the end of the year, although the bar had been set pretty low until then.

He may not be the best long term option but he will be just fine out there. Ridiculous take. That kid gives it his all out there on a nightly basis and still has the tools to be a solid major leaguer for a long time, despite his already long list of injuries.

The more I read Keith Law, the more aggravated I become. i can see questioning the bat. Is he questioning the glove?
There is an old saying that comes to mind, when I think of Keith Law.
"I would like to buy him for what he is worth and sell him for what he thinks he is worth."

Trey showing some leadership qualities speaking up for his guy.
Hays is one of the guys, I want to see. Hopefully he stays healthy. I think, he is a plus centerfielder, with a good arm. Hopefully he proves to be a hitter.

Have to believe Austin Hays is going to go on a run soon. Despite a .143 average through just 4 games, Hays has an expected average of .319 which ranks in the top 9% of the league and his wOBA-xwOBA of -.207 ranks in the top 2% of hitters. A bit of bad luck?[/size]
