He's had 1 walk since the above and has continued to hit like dogshit. So I rescind any attaboys given to him for trying to improve his flaws. No idea what's actually going on since I'm just reading the statline, but sounds to me like he tried to make a change to his approach, wasn't happy with how it was going, abandoned it, and hasn't been able to produce since he went back to what's comfortable for him.
8 walks already. I don't mind if he struggles while he's adjusting to being more patient at the plate. Good on him for working to make the changes he was told he needs to make to be successful.

Maybe the biggest disappointment of the year.

It’s certainly a disappointment but I’m not ready to panic about it. I would just assume promote him and see how things go. See if that gives him a mental jump start.

But I mean, the O's have 17 wins, so I'm down for whatever at this point.

That type of mental fragility shouldn't be rewarded or embraced. He needs to toughen up and fight through this if it's anything mental. (IF, I'm not saying it is)

I don’t really disagree with your point.
I’m just saying that it’s not uncommon to see this type of thing happen.
Personally, I think you need to see a shitty ML team
With a crappy RF situation and you should be forcing your way up here. That’s what bothers me.

Orioles are hopeful that AAA outfielder DJ Stewart (hamstring) out since May 26, will return Monday. AA OF Austin Hays (right ankle), out since May 24, is set to return around June 16-17.
