Looks like they'll hire Wisconsin DC Justin Wilcox.

And word is he will hire Tosh Lupoi as his DC, and meanwhile Mario Cristobal was hired as Oregon's co-OC. Alabama has lost two of their best recruiters in two days. Doubt it hurts them much in the long run, but it still hasn't been a banner week for that program.

Gary Andersen and Oregon State mutually agreed to part ways today. He's actually waiving the remaining $12 million he's owed on his contract. The chair is waiting for Mike Riley to come back home, one more time.

Washington State's AD, Bill Moos, is leaving to take the Nebraska job. Not sure if that's better, worse, or neither for Mike Riley's future....but Moos is certainly familiar with him (Moos also spent 10+ years as Oregon's AD).

McIlwain fired at Florida.

Edit: it’s mutual actually. Apparently his family was getting death threats. If true, I hope they find those people and torture them before throwing them in jail.

I thought they were firing him for cause because he fabricated the death threats?

That's what I read too. UF was going to use that as a reason to get out of a $12 million buyout. I think McElwain even retracted or apologized for some of the claims he made.

Arkansas won by 1...against a 1 win Coastal Carolina team.

Beilema is a goner.

He never should have left Wisconsin.

I know zip about what Mullen might do... but he does seem like the kind of guy I'd trust my kid to...

Tennessee pulls the plug on Butch Jones. Brady Hoke will finish the season as interim.

They have lost their last 13 games in the SEC and most have been blow outs.

It'll be interesting to see what direction Tennessee goes. They were headed in a good direction with Jones after the Dooley debacle, but he stalled out and then plummeted. It's a good job with the amount of resources available, but not a great job since you do have to venture into other states (Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, etc.) to get the better recruits.

Obviously the Gruden rumors will get a bunch of attention, but it'll be interesting to see if they try to go high-profile (Les Miles, Chip Kelly) or for a younger, up-and-coming guy (Matt Campbell, Mike Norvell, PJ Fleck). Or they could split the middle and go with a guy like Dan Mullen or Jeff Brohm.

Maybe it's too obvious, but Tee Martin seems like a good fit there.

ESPN: Nebraska AD Bill Moos sticking with coach Mike Riley through end of season

"It's not like I've got a coach to hire this afternoon at 3:30," Moos said Monday. "Mike Riley deserves to finish the 2017 season. That's how I operate."

As always, what isn't said is every bit as important as what is said. Riley's done as soon as the season is over.

It kinda has to be Scott Frost, right? Seems like a perfect fit, and perfect timing.

Frost could also have the Florida job.  Go home, or go to the better job?
